As per the PS3 thread, I have been re-visiting Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I haven't played this since hammering it to 100% completion back when it released and I completely forgot that Wreck it Ralph was a guest character, as well as (very randomly) NASCAR's Danica Patrick.
I'm also constantly forgetting that Soulcalibur Broken Destiny on PSP had Kratos from God of War, and that SCV had Ezio from Assassins Creed.
Are there any games you have revisited with guest/licensed bonus characters that you completely forgot about? I'm pretty sure there were LOADS included in games from the PS2 era onwards as licensing big names to try and boost sales became a big thing.

I loved the guests in Soul Caliber 2 especially Link on the GameCube, I also thought Spawn for the Xbox wasn't that bad but I didn't think the PS2 had a great fitting guest character, there could have been better ones picked.
NBA Jam TE was really weird with its characters like Bill Clinton, and the early arcade versions having like Sub Zero and Scorpion in it

Nintendo cross over their characters in their own games a fair bit, the Mario enemies in Links Awaken is one of the earliest examples I can think of. But they've popped up in third party games too, such as Mario and co. in EA's SSX and NBA Street franchises.
But the most forgotten example I can think of is Takamaru the samurai from The Mysterious Murasame Castle who appears in Samurai Warriors 3 on the Wii, which includes a remake of his NES game.

Wasn't little mac from Punchout in one of EA's boxing games ? I think it was Fight Night Round 2 on the Gamecube which also had one of the Punch Outs as a secret unlockable iirc.
