Here is a blog I read and that I would Recommend Pedz GameShack
It has stuff about both retro and modern games on it and the guys a really nice chap who deserves all the support he can get. I have my own blog but its a mess of Gaming and Horror movies and a bit random, sometimes not updated for years My Blog

Another thing I’ve never really been into. Time is limited in my trade and reading forums and retro mags is about all the reading I can manage 🤣

Nice work on dealing with (and sharing your thoughts on) PTSD. I wonder if I have it, after being knocked down by a dog last year and not recovering from the injuries it caused. This week I've had someone trivialising my anxiety around dogs, expecting me to be perfectly fine working in an office where there are loose dogs. They've only made the situation worse, but I'll see what happens next week. On a related note, Nintendo Life has written about mental health and gaming, and it's good to see mental health written about in such a way: www.nintendolife.com/features/how-video-games-can-be-brilliant-for-your-mental-healthwww.nintendolife.com/features/games-that-got-us-through-tough-timesI try not to get too distracted by blogs, so similar to Markopoloman. Although I'm an even bigger music fan than gaming and enjoy reading articles about game music on this site: www.greatestgamemusic.com/soundtracks/secret-of-mana-soundtrack/I don't remember the name of the blog, but there's one that's promised to post their top 100 SNES games for years, and I'm still waiting. I enjoy the writing and humour of solomonrambling.com/ - and I've discovered a couple of great games from Solomon's recommendations. Red Rope: Don't Fall Behind being one. A lot of the games he reviews are retro-style.

Yeah unfortunately some people do kind of not understand or appreciate things like anxiety.

Kinda miss writing the various games blogs I've done but there's so little interaction with blogs these days. Not saying that I wanted to write for the attention, but it's nice to know that people have taken the time to read, and even nicer when there are comments/feedback and perhaps a little discussion to be had.
But I don't think many have the time/patience to read in-depth reviews or thoughts as much as they used to.
Plus I moved to Wordpress for my last one, and you really need to pay for the domain name to get any traffic (you can have a free one but it has a .wordpress extension on the end which isn't as optimal...apparently) which wasn't too bad until it got bumped up to around £60 a year last renewal. Not great when you have prolonged writing slumps and are essentially getting nowt for your 12 month sub.
