There's a boat one too but like with the Corgi Van I can never find photos, in short you've got a little scene with a boat and a cavern, you put your coin in and the boat goes along through the cavern and comes out with a prize and as it gets to the stop point it tips it down the chute.
Corgi Vans literally a ride on (there were a few prize egg ones like this too) that looked like an old Ford A or T van, you'd get commentary i.e whoah watch out for that etc and then at the end a larger capsule containing a toy car would roll down from the back (you could see in through the door windows) to a little chute located by the seats.
This kind of thing might be tat by usual standards but when I was a small kid they made my day and still do on the rare occasions I find them, never fussed by Gatchas but old school ones will always find me searching my pockets.

Reminds me last time I was on Holiday I saw a Sooty Show machine where you put in a coin and they play a little concert and then I think give you a prize but it was turned off, I am going to the same place in about 5 weeks if its there and on I am so paying and recording it.

I've never known prize Sooty shows, just the usual 20p to watch them dance etc but it's possible there might be alternate models, you'll probably hear something in the Audio to tell you if it was a prize giver.

well snap a photo if it's not, I've seen so many things like it over the years I could probably tell you if it is indeed a prize giver.

Ah thats way more modern than the ones I've seen and as it says it is indeed meant to give you a prize, probably more Gatcha like than prize egg though as it's more likely 00's or 10s where the others could probably be as old as the 70s or 80s based on design.

I remember my dad putting money in one in the 80's so I could watch sooty play, I was sooty mad I went to his live stage show once, I think I even still have the theatre programme somewhere.

The best ones were the classic cars you could send away for with tokens from weetabix of all things. Took loads of tokens to get anything, eventually I managed to get a Citroen 2cv. Seemed a nice enough model.
Anyway I found a full set a few years ago with the original packaging (basically folded card with someoneβs address on and an early 90s postmark)
Probably worth nothing but interesting

Slightly more modern, but does anyone remember them giving away CD-Roms with Art Attack and Horrible Histories on the boxes...?

That Weetabix atlus is awesome, makes me laugh though as it reminds me my friends sister wouldn't eat Weetabix because in the adds they were little men who could talk and that made her decide it was wrong to eat them lol

I'm willing to bet that Classic car was a small Corgi one, my Uncle was kinda broke when I was a kid so he'd often save up for the little cars and then make me a Garage or on one occasion, Tracey Island. The Cars may be around somewhere but the Garages aren't as they were usually Card based so play would eventually kill them after a while.

The cars that I remember getting from those sorts of promotions were those vintage-looking vans from Lledo (I think that was the brand). Had loads but they weren't that great quality tbh.
I did also once get the full set of Weetabix vans and lorries by Corgi including an 18t HGV. Long since gotten rid of back in my early ebay days when somebody won them for a few quid.
I remember those books as well, but I had a different series...think one was about rainforest animals, and the others similar.
Also, who remembers those old-school collectible cards that came free with PG Tips and you had to glue them into albums? I still have a few complete ones but they are one of those things that haven't gained much value over the years and have little interest.

I had a lot of the Lledo ones too but they are like a plague when you sell them as while the Castings are sturdy they dont acctually have much detail, only ones I try to keep now are the Dr Pepper and coke ones or the ones I got from family.
And yeah I've got a load in the tin with the Cigarette type cards but not sure where that is atm, all the Car ones on my walls are reproductions.
