...you say when somebody tells you about an interesting game or you see it about on the internet.
But then you never get around to picking it up, time passes, you forget all about said game until one day you think, "bloody hell! I forgot all about that one. Why didn't I buy it at the time?!?"
What memorable ones do you have?
For me it's a game on the original DS called Air Traffic Chaos (or Air Traffic Controller in the UK) which I loved reading people's accounts of. Yet I kept putting off hunting out a copy, ultimately forgot, and STILL haven't got it.
Another was Crash Time 4 on the PS3 (which I mentioned in a different thread) which is now an expensive game selling for more than original £40 RRP of PS3 games.

I wanted MR Mosquito for ages but eventually got it, I just kept going oh that's so weird sounds like something they'd have made in the spectrum age, but I was worried although novel it might be rubbish. When I got it cheap I was over the moon with it and felt stupid for not pulling the trigger earlier.

I didn't buy Chrono Trigger until last year, although I didn't own a DS/3DS until the year before.

Never heard of this one, but always like to hear of obscure games like this and the box artwork looks hilarious. I'm just about to stick it on to an R4 card now and give it a go. Hopefully I can direct a few planes to land in some buildings. Love the added speech bubble, just in case you couldn't figure out from the illustration and title of the game, what that dude was doing.

Bless the R4 so easy to get hold of, doesn't cost too much, and allows you to try pretty much absolutely anything.... I also love that I can take one out with a lot of my games put on it and now worry about loosing the original copies while on holiday or such... I have about 4 R4's and then a Super Card One and a Super Card two and they have allowed me to try all sorts of stuff and kept my originals safe.

One thing I forgot to ask - I'm guessing the save files for games are the same whether I'd use the R4 or original cart, and I could transfer between using the original cart or R4? I also like the idea of not wanting to risk losing original copies.

The R4 makes a save file thats like a .sav or something and you can copy those of your R4 on to your PC and keep them for back up purposes or move them from r4 to r4 etc but in order to get the saves off a real game cart youd either need a hacked console with the right software or an adaptor to let a PC read the contents of a DS game... I started all my games again after putting them on an R4.

I had some save issues with Kirby Super Star Ultra on an R4 card. Wiped my save a few times, but its such a good game you never can be mad at it for long and just enjoy playing it again from the start.

The 360 versions of the NFS games that let you mod properly rather than that stupid Card system, I had to give up all but MW 05 and Undercover on PC due to a DRM issue you can't bypass so had been looking out for the 360 versions along with Williams Pinball but keep forgetting to check when I'm out and about, one day I'll rememeber and then one day several years after I'll actually remember to play them.

The most recent ones are Mini consoles- Mega Drive, Playstation, Amiga. I had fully intended to get those, especially the Amiga one. For whatever reason I just fizzled out when the things respectively got released!

Yeah the Amiga mini is kind of on my want list but I want to buy one when its a stupid bargain, partially cause I am sure I wont use it as much as I think I will.
