I have so many gaming memories as I am sure a lot of you do, some of them are funny some of them just make me feel happy looking back on them often when I write reviews for games I try to put like gaming memory/stories in as well its the one thing I can give no one else can..... for example anyone can review Fzero for the SNES but not everyone can tell you that there first experience of the game was it being in a SNES promotional kiosk in CO-OP and how they'd sneak in after school every day and basically play it till they got kicked out lol ......it was that and then playing Mario World around my friends that made me decide I needed a SNES.
I will share one more then open the floor up to the rest of you. One of my friends used to be really good at Street Figher 2 but really cocky with it, he would proper rub it in peoples faces when he won, he was usually one of the nicest guys out but he had just become insufferable when it came to fighting games. My brother had a SNES pad that had buttons you could press which would do the street fighter moves with the press of one button, So I went in to a bit of training, I would fight my brother with me using a regular pad and him using the cheating pad just so I could train myself to increase the speed I could pull of fire balls and other moves, once I was really good at it, I went to a party and took one of the weirdest SNES Pads I had it was this 3rd party goofy number that split into two halves with a wire trailing between them and proceeded to use this holding it weirdly around my neck and acting liker I was effortlessly this good just so I could beat this lad and rub it in his face. ..... It was funny it really really drove him crazy and he had a proper strop but he actually calmed down a lot after this.... and as for me, I didn't play Street Fighter 2 again for ages and went back to being an overall good sport.

I have fond memories of sitting in my bedroom, hammering through Streets Of Rage 2 with my mate in 2 player mode. Such an incredible game.

My own personal favourites are playing Xeno on the Spectrum in 2 player mode. Virtually unknown but a future sport sim with so much appeal. Also, PGA Tour Golf on the Megadrive was great for that as well.

A friend and his brother used to loan me and my brother their SNES whenever they went on holiday. I was probably an adult before I realised how awesome of their family that was.
My mum bought us our own SNES one Christmas. My favourite memory is probably playing Secret of Mana with my brother, because I loved ARPGs and loved playing games with my bro' (nothing has changed on either count). Tetris Attack multiplayer was brilliant. Lots of long days and nights playing GoldenEye then Perfect Dark (which went on into the 2010s). Bomberman 2 was great with family and friends - my mum would join in on games like that too.
Sunny summers playing Olympic Summer Games and ISS in a friend's bedroom, which was painted all black, and the curtains were always closed.
My mum once made us a map of Knightlore, colour coded with where the charms and everything were. I still have it somewhere.
Lylat Wars - my first cinematic experience in gaming. Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is probably still the craziest and funniest game I played. I love the Impact song.

I have The Legend of the Mystical Ninja and remember playing it a bit with my brother, but I kept dying (or getting mugged) on the first or second level.

Here are my childhood gaming memories that stand out the most:
1. Getting NES for the holidays in '88 having never heard of a video game before.
2. My parents letting me skip school the day NBA Jam came out on SNES because I couldn't wait to play it.
3. Incredible Universe selling Mortal Kombat II a week before anyone else and at a crazy low price as well.
4. Getting home from school and having a voice mail from Electronics Boutique letting me know street date had been broken and I could pick up my N64 immediately.

Not exactly a childhood memory but me and my mate used to play ISS Pro Evo Soccer 2 a lot and we'd pick random teams. One time he got Brazil and I got Jamaica. Jamaica had no pace or decent finishing ability. So I put their reserve goalie up front as he at least had a bit of height and jumping ability. And I managed to sneak a 1-0 win with him scoring the winning header. It was literally the scrappiest win and he was livid. Especially as I didn't particularly celebrate it which made it even more annoying.

The biggest I suppose would be meeting my future best friends simply because the three of us were the only ones who had a snes so we swapped games regular. Everyone else had megadrives, bar one kid who swore he had a neogeo. Never saw it.
Finally getting sf2 turbo and being able to play as the bosses. Rarely been as hyped for a game. Used to play world warrior loads at Seahouses and I made it to Balrog once. Still have the tin somewhere.
Also going from nes at 8 to a dreamcast at 16 is pretty wild.

I grew up spending a lot of time on the Norfolk coast so I got plenty of Arcade memories not that I can remember them that well anymore, Gaming wise at home is one thats more recent but not as recent as my brain thinks. When I turned 16 I'd wanted a driving experiance but my Dad messed up so it wasn't avalible anymore so I got bought a CRT TV instead, not that I minded too much as I'd been borrowing various sets around the house so it was nice to have a dedicated TV for my consoles, well that night I got handed a fair amount of Fosters (crap beer I know but you took what you could get) and I literally just raced on Sega Rally through the night, like I'd done when I was small and it just felt like bliss.

I didn't own any consoles/computers until I was at secondary school when we got an Amiga for Christmas. But most of my friends had something!
In middle school, my best mate had a Commodore 64. He had the full kit, disc drives, the correct monitor, the piano keyboard, printer, the whole works. I used to go round his house after school and get a quick go on something, usually Chase HQ or the football game that came on the cartridge. I always wanted to try the piano, but never got the chance.
Around the corner from my nan, another mate also had a C64. Spent many afternoons playing games like American Warewolf in London, Robocop, Batman and so on.
In secondary school, my friend had quite a few consoles. He had a SNES, N64, Master System, Gameboy, Amiga 600, CD32, and eventually he saved up and bought an IBM P75 Pc, so that opened the door to Wolfenstein, Doom, a Microsoft motorbike game I forget the name of, and a NASCAR game that was always hilarious to drive round the track the wrong way.
My mate Mark had a SNES and he had a thing for Street Fighter 2, so he'd often find it way to easy to totally kick my ass at that! He also used to make me cassettes up, and that's how I got into Nirvana and Pearl Jam!
Another kid had an Atari 7800, I'd get off the bus if I was early enough and go round his before school to play Centipede or Space Invaders.
So many good memories, lots of games played and happy times, except when my mate used to kick my arse on Killer Instinct on the N64!
