I have been collecting videogames magazines for several decades and haven't missed a month since August 1986. My collection has grown steadily that it now is stored in six huge boxes. Though they are nice to have, I barely read them and most can be found online. For the ones that are not yet available digitally, I am (going to) add them to the Amiga Magazine Rack, Moby Games and possibly other sources.
What shall I do with the magazines that are widely available digitally? Trying to sell them on E-bay magazine-by-magazine (which will probably takes years) or regard them as paper waste? What are your opinions and experiences?

I think I would bang them up on auction sites etc as a bulk lot first and see if anyone bites. I have never collected video game magazines but I have a lot of comics, id hate to think about how much work it would be if I ever wanted to sell them.

I already did! Too expensive to pack and ship individually in most cases, not a huge market for bulk pick-ups
All of my Nintendo Official Magazine, NGC, CUBE, Official Nintendo Magazine (the second iteration), and Retro Gamers all went in the recycling bin many years ago, along with loads of car magazines, F1 mags, FHMs etc.
The only ones I bothered selling were the first few Retro Gamer bookazines when they hit stupid Β£40 territory and collectors were gagging for them. Good job I did because a lot of them were reprinted from what I saw.
The only ones I really miss, and would like to pick up again, are NOM (it was quite childish towards the end but it made me laugh out loud and it had the balls to slate 1st party games if they thought they were pants) and CUBE.

In the last six years or so I've gradually whittled down my collection of magazines. I seemed to have amassed an enormous amount of magazines for things other than gaming such as metal detecting, mountain biking, general cycling and RC helicopters.
So far I've gotten rid of everything but a few Sega mags from the Saturn era (I'll never part with those). I've got about maybe 60 - 100 mags left for DC, N64, Gamecube and PS4. I've filled the recycling bin outside 3 times from bottom to top, then the 4th time the refuse collectors wouldn't take them and insisted I take them to the recycling center myself in the car.
Obviously, I've held onto my entire RG collection which is in storage at my brother's huge flat. This was from issue one to about 2020. The later ones are here with me.

I've got every issue of RG but it's time to let them go, well at least that's what I thought. My wife has been taking them from the computer area cupboards and putting them in a cupboard in my big shed. I've discovered that the mice like RG too

Over the last couple of years I've made myself get rid of my magazines. They were becoming unmanageable, and frankly, I barely ever re-read them anyway.

Had a massive collection of RG mags at one point, back when I'd get every issue. Let the missus get rid of them all at a car boot sale one weekend cause they were taking up too much space back at my parents house.

Still got loads of RG sat in a cupboard somewhere, every issue (including from before the relaunch) up until I stopped buying them a good few years ago. Too much of a ball ache to take them to the tip and I canβt be arsed trying to sell them so will most likely just burn them when I have a rubbish fire.

I have every issue stacked up in the loft. Mostly still sealed and unread for the last few years.
I've got a lot of older stuff too, issues of Crash, Zzap, C&VG and various other 80s stuff, with a smattering of Edge and the like from the 90s.
I think I need to bite the bullet and bin a lot of them. Despite the sentimental happy feels I get when I see them once every 5-10 years, they're not really doing anything and aren't worth much. To think issue 1 of RG was going for Β£80 at one point...

I got rid of all mine over the years. I've definitely benefitted from a minimalism mindset with this stuff. The idea of having a load of old dusty magazines and comics just annoys me now. I sold a lot of my old tat and it's very freeing. Also, for things like Crash and YS, you can put them all on a tablet and read them whenever you like.

They are here there and everywhere in my house, I don't read them and tried to get the sub cancelled but they keep coming, I'd honestly give them away but it's finding somone who will take them for appreciation rather than profit although that being said in my current situation I probably should sell them instead.

I still have all of mine and loads of SEGA mages too, just won a 4 more SEGA Power issues the other day which are now on the way. I put them in carboard backed magazine bags to keep them nice and enjoy a flick through from time to time. I'm not looking to collect loads more though, I have plenty enough, just that the start price on those I won was low enough.

Mine are long gone. Don't have the room and I like things digital. Same with books, rarely buy a hardcopy.

Mine are long gone. Don't have the room and I like things digital. Same with books, rarely buy a hardcopy. I'm the opposite with books. I love a really old, beat paperback with that ancient paper smell. I don't know why but it just adds to the experience for me and I sometimes wonder how many people have read it, where it's been around the country etc.
I do try and keep the collection minimal though and, if it starts getting out of control again, make sure that I get shot of stuff before buying any new ones.
Honestly tempted to pick up a few NOM and CUBE mags off ebay now after this thread, particularly the ones I remember having and enjoying.
That reminds me: I distinctly remember buying gaming mags and reading them cover to cover then reading bits and pieces again and again until they were old and dog-eared. I think that's what made me stop buying RG: when I realised that they were all still pristine and I didn't have the same kind of fanatacism about reading them. One of the reasons anyway!

I'm so far behind in my reading of RG that by the time I get to an issue it's content is already Retro. I'm happy to see the magz I've finshed reading go to a happy home after, so I sell them on Ebay. Only kept a couple of issues that had some great things in there.
