Another thread idea as I know some of us have got a love for Old Tat as well as Old games.
Bar that Gumball Pinball my most recent has been a Jelly Belly machine, still in production but this was definately Old and was to go with my Gumball machine I'm restoring and a Tommy the Atomic Robot. The Machines fixed up just wanting a repair on the door (now simulated Cast metal with raised lettering) and a good tidy up, Tommy however as yet hasn't seen much work and is untested as I need to make a Battery door to complete the Circuit, visually he's not bad for a Toy robot that can't be any newer than 1984 and the Mini record player that forms his voice box is a real mini marvel.
So what did you Guys get?

I think it's a great idea for a post, I got a small pile of cigarette cards a bit ago and as soon as I rember where they are Iwill show them, I got a pile for like £2 and I've seen some sell for £1 a card so not too bad.

I found a job-lot of mid-80's Lego on Facebook marketplace for an absolute bargain! Couldn't believe how much was in the box when I got it home, absolute gold!

I recently bought the novelisation of Batman Returns. Nice, original early 90s paperback. Only cost me £4.

Not strictly retro but a bit of a bugger to find new at a sane price although mine is used, a home Coin pusher with plinko style back. Annoyingly doesn't fit 2ps and really being a toy lacks the side troughs of a real one but still a bit of a laugh to got with the Crane machine and pinballs, just need to figure out some sweets to work as prizes as the ones I'd planned to get for atleast the Crane machine weren't avalible when I went to the shop that sold them.

Another Facebook Lego find, 1996 Technic Space shuttle, about 95% complete for £20! Cheapest on eBay is around £200. Quick look on Bricklink and I have all the pieces now for under £10, so planning on building it soon.

Snot bad, not bought much of late bar tooling and parts and not retro ones either, really want a Bobblehead of either a Sea Monkey or Space ranger so when funds allow I shall have a proper search, still also actively watching for one of those Singing Fish for the wall.

I've dangerously got into Gunpla recently, now have a whole load of kits to build! Not just Gundam though, Neon Genesis Evangelion too! Like all hobbies and collectables, some are cheap, some are MENTAL expensive!
I also added another boombox to the growing collection, a Sony CFD-D83W mkII from around 1989. CD player works, radio works, cassette decks try to work but like all vintage cassette players, it needs the belts replacing. This takes my boombox tally to something like 25-30 units, I'm just a sucker for them.........

I still haven't got around to sorting the Belts in my CSC-950F and it must've been a decade or so, due to the cull theres I think 7 but probably will move on the more common repairs ones as relistically I don't think I'll get to them any time soon and space and money is more what I need.
I do also need to clean my main box, an '82 Hitachi as it got hit by a brush wash spillage and the Buttons have since gummed up on the mech, still runs fine though so no issues sharing a Cassette with the neighbours every now and then.

That's a nice looking boombox! One of the boxes coming my way is a Sharp GF-9090, I have a GF-9494 that needs love, all of these are the classic-looking boxes with chrome and generally good looks. I'm not sure what make the other box is, I've only got a really bad photo from a crap angle as a mate found it for me, so looking forward to finding out what it is. Was only £15 anyway, so even if it's crap, not a huge loss

Thing with them other than perished Rubber parts is they will need recapping at somepoint, always be wary powering them on if they've been sat as Caps can go with a bang and if they damage stuff that you can't get anymore the whole things toast. Wasn't a Boombox but a Valve Radio, a 1940 Pilot, that did it toe worst for me, it was recapped sometime in the 60s or 70s so had the early Larger electrolytic Caps and one went so bad it nearly sent me to A&E, it took out the 2 other caps in the process and would have destroyed the irriplacable Bakalite Body if I hadn't taken it off for testing.

Picked up some 90's Warhammer fantasy wood elves. Not really into collecting oldhammer( as the kids call it) but these were a steal. Probably paint them in ten years lol
