What are you excited for?
There's so many coming out for DC, Megadrive, etc that it's sometimes hard to keep up.
Intrepid Izzy (DC), and Final Vendetta (MD) are looking ace, alongside recent fan translations of JP Saturn games like Bulk Slash and Sakura Wars. There seems to be a ton of love left for these aging machines.

One of the most regular sites I visit is www.indieretronews.com/ I'm about to clear out all of my retro stuff - games, computers etc. as I just don't have the time or space to use them any more. But I do intend using emulation and things like TheC64 and TheA500 to play new games on old systems. Duckstroma, Creeping Me Out Hex Night, Monkey Lad & Wonderboy on the Amiga are top of my list...

Intrepid Izzy looks cool. I misread it as a new Dizzy game for Dreamcast at first. I love the look of Creeping Me Out Hex Night too, although I never owned an Amiga (I think I loaned one off a friend once). Vespertino looks crazy for an Amstrad CPC game, although I haven't seen anything about it for a while: And forum confusion already! I posted a sort-of similar topic in another of the forums.

I played through it over Xmas last year anyways and had quite a lot of fun with it. I wasn't even aware it existed until I saw a retro game shop I follow on social media post about getting some copies in, so quickly did a search and ordered it direct from WAVE Games' site. I'm interested to see how Final Vendetta runs on the Mega Drive actually, I played the Switch version recently and it was pretty good.
I've also fairly recently finally got the NES version of Alwa's Awakening (which I preordered about a year ago) through the post, so looking forward to giving that a go too.

I tend to miss these new games for old systems as a lot seem to be on Kickstarter and the like, or sell for stupid money.
Was interested in that Project Y beat 'em up for the MD but it took so long, and the guy behind it came across as a complete complete tool. A copy was stupid money last time I looked (no idea if it's changed).

Final Vendetta will come on AES. Not MD.

A few days ago my copy of Soul Force for the C64 arrived. It’s not often nowadays that I bother to buy a physical cartridge, but there’s no doubt this is of a quality that would’ve merited a full price release back in the day. It’s really quite incredible that work of this quality can be achieved by people working in their spare time.
The package as a whole has that special edition vibe to it, with a nicely presented cartridge and other little bits and pieces. Then you think, well, it’s too nice really to jam into my C64 really. My C64 that’s in storage anyway. So I’m an idiot really, buying stuff I’ll never use! Never mind. I’ve satisfied my urge to enjoy a rare physical release and supported the creator into the bargain. There are worse ways to fritter your life away.

Soul Force is brilliant.
Getting to play and preview so many upcoming homebrew titles for old machines is a privilege. Looking forward to Tenebra 2 now.
