I sub to Sega Saturn Shiro, Cartridge Command, New Game Plus, Retro Asylum and the new Sega Mania podcasts.
What are your recommendations for long work journeys?

Gaming wise I have only ever really listened to ones that I have had some level of involvement with, I have been on Podcasts , I have edited them, never felt the desire to listen to an unknown game podcast, yet weirdly I have listened to horror movie podcasts and Wrestling Podcasts no idea why..

I'll admit... I've never listened to a podcast indeed! I look at them like a bespoke radio show made just for you that you can listen to whenever you choose to. Cartridge Command is my go-to, though. They review and pick apart 8 and 16 bit titles, level by level.

I sometimes listen to the MP3s of Retro Asylum, or Retro Gaming Discussion Show, though 99% of the time I watch things on YouTube. Even The Retro Hour I "watch" on YouTube. All the video ones I watch probably don't count as Podcasts.

MPM it amazes me you've never listened to a podcast!
I listened to Retro Gaming Radio which run for a fair old while. Tried Retro Asylum but I just didn't get on with it.
Right now the only dedicated retro podcasts I listen to are...
Retronauts SEGA Mania Under Consoletation (though I am several series behind)

I will try and start though! ππ€£

I searched the Apple podcast app for RGU podcast and couldn't find this. I did find another old podcast called the RGU podcast. There's also a podcast for one of our local unis, RGU. Maybe need to rethink the title? First though was RG Unofficial, but that unofficial tag rings of knock off. Retro Gamer U? This for me works a couple of ways, as in 'retro gamer you', as well as 'retro gamer university'. Imo, if it isn't on Apple podcasts, it isn't a podcast.

This for me works a couple of ways, as in 'retro gamer you', as well as 'retro gamer university'. Imo, if it isn't on Apple podcasts, it isn't a podcast. Its not on Apple for a multitude of reasons 1) They wont let it go up unless you have a fully functional apple account and there saying mine is not, maybe cause I don't buy from them. 2)It has to go through checks if you get it past stage 1 and can take weeks to be uploaded Its currently on Podbean and Amazon Music/Audiable, I have filled out the stuff to apply for it to go up on Iheart Radio, Player FM, and Podchaser. Some other options have not been explored either due to being complex or them asking for cash. I am also willing to take suggestions on names and topics and all sorts and if anyone else wants to handle any of the administrative side of trying to get a podcast put up or pay any relevant fees or do electronic paperwork then there more than welcome as this is not my area of expertise I just like the creative side of it.
