Best find I've had in a charity shop was a Japanese (I think) version of Ultima VI - The False Prophet. Floppy disc original. Came with maps, massive manual, and a heap of other stuff. All for $2. Unbelievable. Super duper rare apparently.

That was such a great game with spot-on "feel" when it came to car control. The perfect blend of realism and arcade. Loved the Kudos system as well.
Even talking about it...
...but I don't have ROOM for an Xbox though!

I loved all of the PGR games, I really enjoyed them... I grabbed a few 360 games from a charity shop at £1.50 each Civilization Revolution, Mercenaries 2 and Split Second Velocity. Not incredibly expensive games but all games I am very fond of.

Very rare anything good hits mine but then theres a lot of scalpers in the area and the few remains are usually over priced by some halfwit who thinks they know how valuation works.
Luckier spots were usually old Crack Converters near the Library and very occasionally the shop round the back of my house, not so much games but retro stuff in general as thats where the Gumball Machine came from.

It's kind of the same with a lot of my stuff it was grabbed before people started madly wanting it and I wouldn't have half as much at now days prices.

Yep, same for me. Boot sales, charity shops and friends giving stuff away as it was just seen as 'old tech and worthless'. I hardly see anything at boot sales now that I really like to collect, unless it's really broken or 3-part of it are missing. Or they want stupid money for it. I'm not going to a boot sale to spend £100 on an Atari 2600, but I'd happily pay £10-20 with a few games

Upon telling them and saying hey it could be worth a little bit, theyve happily said sod it buddy have it enjoy it, so thats a nice suprise.

Extremely slim pickings in the charity shops near me. In fact, I'd say the last good find I had was Gregory Horror Show on ps2 for £2 about three years ago. Sold it recently for £50. I didn't want to, but circumstances dictated it. Now, it's just Wii Fit, FIFA and Call Of Duty or some cheapo tat on the PC. I think the staff have definitely got more savvy about prices though. The days of finding Castlevania Symphony of the Night of ps1 for £1.50 are long gone.

Funny how some games just creep up in price and others dont isent it.

Had a trip to Portsmouth yesterday, quick hobble round Gunwharf then into the town afterwards. Had a quick look around the Heart Foundation shop and found Lotus Turbo Challenge 1 on the Megadrive for £5, so grabbed that. Was shocked when I went into CEX, they had a Nintendo Virtualboy for sale, no games £450!! I bought mine for £50 each off eBay when nobody wanted them!

It's like diamond-encrusted gold, don't you know?
