Yeah the license for the planes from the likes of Northrop Grumman and Boeing expired so Climax was pulled ages ago. Same as Outrun Online Arcade though at least Outrun 2006 is very similar and readily available used. Its a good job plenty of people are preserving stuff like this even if they legally shouldnt otherwise large amounts of Video game history would be missing.

AB Climax was a great game too. In the case of Outrun Online, you could at least say that it was just a rehash of sorts of Outrun 2006 which was already an update of Outrun 2. Climax was - unless I'm mistaken - a completely new game.
Anybody know if Afterburner Black Falcon on the PSP was any good?

I own it, and I have played it but I cant seem to remember what I thought of it, If I work out where I put it I will have another bash and let you know, I have about 200 PSP games and there kind of all over the place in different draws and such.

PS3 is the "modern" console I play the most. My friends still like to come over every week to play Fight Night Champion.

I'm loving my PS3 right now, playing games I didn't even realise I owned. Last week I was outbid on Viking and was looking for a buy it now or browsing cex. Later on I discovered I actually own it. It was in my games cupboard:D I need to make a list before I get silly with the mouse.
One other thing is I love how I can just stick a disk in and play. No 100GB download first.

I do fancy buying Golden Axe Beast Rider and trying it again lol. I was prepared to ignore the poor review scores first time around but I really couldn't gel with it and found so many aspects of it to be terrible or poorly-implemented. Also, when one of the early cut-scenes just lingers on Tyris' ass, I thought "so THAT's how they plan to sell this reboot..."
But I am a sucker for "bad" games if they are cheap enough. Another I have always meant to try is the PS2 Altered Beast which is meant to be dire.
On a non-Sega note, I once played a demo of a "bad" game called Crash Time 4: The Syndicate with open world-ish driving and really entertaining drift-happy handling of cars. Unfortunately it turned out to be one of those games published by a small tin-pot company that printed maybe 7 copies and I never found the full game.

I find myself playing PS3 more and more these days. Despite refurbishing my PS4, I just can't get past the 3rd PlayStation and its incredible games library. From NFS Shift 2 through Bayonetta to Conan and the Uncharted series, the PS3 had tons to offer. It even fits in the "retro" bracket now. The Skate series is currently taking up my time. Any PS3 love in here? Out of the ten consoles I own, PS3 is getting played the most lately. When friends come over, they want to play Fight Night Champion. When I'm playing games alone, I've been really into Pac-Man Championship Edition (via Pac-Man Museum) lately. Normally when I play games alone I go into the retro room and play something from the 80s or 90s, but lately it's been nothing but PS3.

I'm always on the lookout for some kind of Gears of War type game for PS3. Have you tried Bulletstorm? I played it on Switch so no idea how the PS3 version performs. Visually it has the chunky character style of Gears, it has a cover system, but there's more depth to it as you can get bonuses for doing ridiculous kills like blowing someone onto spikes in the environment if you want to go that route.

Bullet Storm is a good shout, it has the cover and the marine type characters , its a bit like a Gears crossed with a Doom sort of thing (or a 1st person gears to be basic).

Switched the PS3 on today and had a quick blast of a few games from the shelf that I haven't touched in yonks:
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Completely forgot how fun this game is. I remember (when it was new) boldly claiming that it was the best Mario Kart game lol. Not so sure about that statement in light of Mario Kart 8 but Transformed is still amazing fun, especially for all the Sega nostalgia. So glad I still have my save data with everything unlocked as I recall the challenges being fiendish. Obviously this means that I played as the 'Ages' character which is the Daytona car on land, the Dreamcast controller (in boat form) on water, and the Afterburner jet when up in the air. I love how the DC controller form has the dead battery beeping sound effect and what I THINK is the disc drive loading sound of the DC.
Driver San Francisco - Just dossing around. I find it quite calming to pick one of my favourite cars, stick it in first-person/in-car view and just cruise around.

The PS3 was an awesome machine. In the right hands it could truly shine (see most Sony first party titles).
I admit, I bought mine as a cheap way to get a Blu Ray player, but I spent far more time playing games on it than I did my 360.

My original PS3 Phat is still going strong after all these years and was my daily driver until I got a PS4 pro. I also own a 60gb PS3 Phat, though it gets a bit hot these days. I should really get round to having it repaired, as then with the PS3 and PS5, you have access to all versions of Playstation games from 1-5 using just 2 consoles!

Never had a PS3 but my older brother has one. Donβt know if it is worth picking one up, there are a few exclusives I would love to play though.

Never had a PS3 but my older brother has one. Donβt know if it is worth picking one up, there are a few exclusives I would love to play though. There are a LOT of dirt-cheap games that are very good if you don't mind sometimes playing "inferior" versions vs upgraded DLC-inclusive ports to PS4/XBO generation.
Also a heap of hidden gems and weird non-mainstream games that you can easily find Youtube compilations of. Off-the-beaten-track stuff like Afrika for example.
