Skegness by any chance ? I have loads of Videos on my YouTube of Games I have played around Skeg and Ingoldmells.
It was Torquay actually.
Was kinda disappointed that a lot of other games had disappeared since the last time I went to that particular arcade. Aliens Extermination and the various Time Crisis and House of the Dead cabs no longer there.
Loads of floor space taken up with penny pushers and scammy/rigged machines full of "rare" Prime drinks, and Prime-branded bucket hats, keyrings, etc. Skeg and Ingoldmells are good for finding time crisis, Aliens Extermination and the newer House of the Dead .... but yep even there you can find far more penny pushers and such I did a walk around the game floor of one Arcade in Skeg

Mario Sunshine on switch. Not going for the full shine count, screw those blue coins. Took me a little while to get used to the controls, I flipped the shoulder buttons round, but I really wish Ninty gave the option to skip cut scenes. Man they are painful.

I've gone back to the PS4 version of Mad Max on my PS5, and I'm liking it much more this time around.

Mario sunshine, used to love it but this is proving difficult to get through. It's just little niggles. The main one is being exited out of a level after losing a life, with all the cinematics, unskippable, that go with it. Maybe I'm just less tolerant these days or the Galaxy games have spoiled me. Saying that I still enjoy 64.

Saying that I still enjoy 64. I was exactly the same, even years ago. Loved 64, and the Galaxy games were just platforming masterpieces imo. But I couldn't stand Sunshine.
Loved the setting and the sunny, tropical vibes but there was so much to hate: the camera, the fiddly controls, being dumped out of levels, hateful coin challenges (such as the sandbird and pinball machine-esque thing), anything involving riding Yoshi over f****** water, the vile hotel/resort level with having to clear away every teeny-tiny drop of slime in a tight time limit...honestly, screw that game.
I reacquired a copy a year or so back as part of trying to build up my Gamecube collection again but I recently did a u-turn and got rid of a load of stuff I was keeping for the sake of owning. Didn't even bat an eyelid at flogging Sunshine.

Ballad of Gay Tony replay fully complete. I think this DLC pack is a lot more fun than the base GTAIV game. The missions are just a lot wilder, and the weaponry is a lot more fun to use, such as the shotgun with exploding shells which is a great laugh. Plus you can get at the APC tank and Buzzard choppers which both make causing chaos on the streets that much more fun, especially with the fantastic GTAIV physics and NPC behaviour involved.
Plus there is Yusef - any cutscene with that guy is hilarious.
Did all the optional stuff - Seagulls, 50 Drug wars, Triathalons, Base Jumping, and club missions - but didn't bother with the Cage Fighting as I found it too difficult, and don't really rate GTA's hand-to-hand combat which feels so basic and uninteresting to perservere with.
Started a replay of The Lost and the Damned to finish off this big GTAIV replay (I say 'big' but it's probably taken me the best part of 2023 just to replay a single game given how uncommitted I am to gaming these days...). So far, I love the biker brotherhood vibe but the missions aren't as interesting which does tally up with what I remember of TLATD. I can't remember the story though so I at least have that to look forward to.

Currently playing Warcraft 2 - Tides of Darkness after playing through the first game. Definite improvement over the original in every way. Really fun to play again for the first time in decades.

Bioshock Infinite on Switch. Think I'm on the final battle as getting swamped with airships attacking the thing I'm on, which is a spike I'm not enjoying and put me off after a few retries.

GTA IV Lost and the Damned replay finished. Only did about half of the gang wars but couldn't be bothered completing 50 of the things for a trophy I don't care about collecting, and in-game rewards I don't need. That's me finished with IV altogether for a while. What a game.
Also completed a Pokemon Yellow playthrough last week (3DS eshop download I'd had for ages). First time ever playing Yellow so it was a nice novelty to play Gen 1 again but with access to all 3 starters without trading. Interesting getting re-acquainted with some of the Gen 1's antiquated mechanics for sure but it was a nice nostalgia trip regardless and just as addictive as ever.

Finishing off the last few levels of Doom II.
Not as even as Doom 1 - in terms of maps, some are a bit bland in design like the city levels (big open spaces weren't done very well), some are novelties (like Barrels O' Fun), but when the levels are good they're very very good, and the double-barrelled shotgun and the new enemies are great additions as well.

Not 'playing' as such but booted up my old copy of Pokemon Diamond on DS to take a look at my old 2007 save file. Such a stacked file with a near-complete Pokedex (for the time anyway when there were only around 400-500 'mon...) and heaps of duplicate legendaries, all obtained legimately. This one card is the sum total of all of my Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Colosseum, and XD Pokemon that I spent ages transferring over to Diamond.
For 2024 I need to resolve to play something other than Pokemon of GTA FFS!!

So, trying to make a few meta-style competitive Pokemon and see how far I can go in Diamond's battle tower. So far, managed to match my 35 win streak record. It's quite fun running a team of 4 for the tower and gradually removing weak points in terms of moves, items, and even whole Pokemon if they offer little of use. My current Dragonite/Raikou/Gardevoir/Lapras squad is doing quite well though.
